Biography
Kehinde Bankole, born on March 27, 1985, is a versatile Nigerian actress, model, and TV host.
She made her mark in the entertainment industry by first competing in the Miss Commonwealth Nigeria pageant in 2003 and then participating in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) contest in 2004.
Renowned for her exceptional talent and ability to seamlessly embody her roles, Kehinde gained recognition after her debut in Wale Adenuga’s *Super Story*. Her remarkable performances earned her the Revelation of the Year award at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards. Interestingly, she has a twin sister who also occasionally steps into the acting world.
Education
Before rising to fame, she completed her primary education at Tunwase Nursery and Primary School in Ikeja.
She then pursued Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University. In 2004, Kehinde took a break from her studies to focus on her modeling career. She eventually returned to complete her degree in Mass Communication at the same university.
Career
Kehinde Bankole began her career as a model in 2003 when she competed in the Miss Commonwealth Nigeria pageant, though she didn’t advance to the final stage. She later entered the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) contest but didn’t make it to the top five.
Her transition into acting began when she landed a role in the Super Story series “Everything It Takes,” produced by Wale Adenuga. This role propelled her to prominence in Nollywood, and she has since become a well-recognized figure in the industry. Kehinde has also appeared in other major productions, including Papa Ajasco and This Life.
In addition to her television work, Kehinde has starred in several Nollywood films, such as Two Brides and a Baby, The Meeting, Awakening, and October 1. She also appeared in Netflix’s original series Blood Sisters.
Beyond acting and modeling, Kehinde has also served as a talk show host. Her acting debut coincided with her time as a Lux ambassador, portraying the character Caro in Super Story: Everything It Takes. She is also well-known for her role as Kiki Obi in Desperate Housewives Africa, the Nigerian adaptation of the American hit series, and starred in the film Prophetess alongside Toyin Abraham.
